Deputy Principal – Pastoral
The Deputy Principal – Pastoral works in harmony with the Mission and Vision of the College. This leadership role provides direction to the quality of pastoral care and student development across Years 7-12. The incumbent’s role is built upon quality relationships and community between students, staff and parents. The Deputy Principal – Pastoral is a senior position within the College and is a member of the College Leadership Team (CLT). The role reports to the Principal and is directly responsible for the pastoral care and wellbeing of students at the College. The incumbent leads and fosters a team of Pastoral Teachers including a Director, Year Level and Assistant Directors and Counsellors. It is imperative to the role that a supportive and inclusive workplace and culture are maintained. The role works with all members of the leadership team to ensure a common vision for the College and its effective organisation and planning. A part of the role is ensuring an inspiring and contemporary community where all students are known valued and cared for.
The role allows leadership and management of the pastoral program and a range of administrative operations of the Senior School. The incumbent will lead and contribute to the creation of a safe, healthy and interdependent school community to support and lead. The role will foster an open and harmonious staff culture and positive working relationships between the school and the wider community, including parents. In collaboration with the Principal, leadership team and College community the role will contribute to the production of the College’s planning for the future.
