On Monday (17/5/21) a group of Year 11/12 girls and boys competed in a Touch Football Knockout competition held at the city touch football grounds. The competition involved teams from independent schools Wilderness, Faith, Sacred Heart and Unley. We have been training consistently from mid last term which prepared the teams well to take on the competition. Unfortunately, there were numerous injury withdrawals which impacted on both the boys and girls sides. However, I was very pleased with how all the players performed and impressed with their attitude and commitment.  As displayed in the photos, both teams represented St Michael’s College with fantastic spirit and sportsmanship.

This year we have a middle-girls soccer team made up of 10 Year 7s, 3 Year 8s and 3 Year 9s (different combination each game).

They’ve played three games together and managed to win three in a row.

Round 1 against Scotch College (Senior C team)                               6-2

Round 2 against Scotch College (Senior C team)                                2-1

Round 3 against Woodcroft College (Middle team)                          10-0

A great effort by these girls who haven’t played together before.
