It’s been another busy period for our Business Services Team in preparing both campuses for the start of the new year.
Staff and students have settled in well to the refurbished Primary facilities and are enjoying the new creative spaces.
The Library Redevelopment at the Secondary Campus is progressing well and on schedule to be completed by the end of March. It is planned that the new Library will be available for use by the start of Term 2.
The following additional capital development projects have been approved for 2021:
Reflective Garden (Secondary Campus)
The new garden will be developed on the northern side of the Chapel and will be a quiet, tranquil place where students and staff can visit and reflect on nature, and nurture their own spiritual life. Religious Education classes will also utilise the space for prayer or reflective work in a peaceful setting. The garden will have various textures and plants, and also a water feature creating a cooling and relaxing space. Students will assist in maintaining the garden and be encouraged to learn about horticulture as part of the College sustainability program.
Toilets Upgrade (Secondary Campus)
The male toilets located in the La Salle courtyard will be upgraded and divided into male and female toilets to accommodate for the increase in number of females students. Students and staff will be involved in developing the design for the new toilets.
Staff Centre (Secondary Campus)
The Secondary Campus Staff Centre will be refurbished to create more internal space for the increased number of staff using the facilities. The refurbishment will include replacement of the kitchen and installation of new floor. The main focus of the refurbishment is to improve the layout of the space and make it more functional.
